Rebecca Wynd: Founder/Director
Rebecca has a love for the outdoors and works hard creating a healthy lifestyle for herself and her family. After leaving Utah, and moving to Tennessee, Rebecca was inspired to help improve the quality of life for her community by increasing recreational opportunities. In 2008, Rebecca founded Outdoor Encounter.
Her former career was in media, event planning and logistics. She worked at NBC Olympics, Sundance Film Institute, Christian Broadcasting Network and more.
Rebecca currently works at Paige Middle School helping children with special needs.
She is a wife and a mother of two very active teenagers who are both on the Franklin High School Mountain Bike Team.
Cooper Magli: Board Member/Project Lead
Cooper joined the family business of Magli Realty in 2008 after serving as Vice President of Fifth Third Bank’s Private Bank. He is a 1993 graduate of Battle Ground Academy and 1999 graduate of Belmont University.
Cooper is an elder and former Treasurer of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church.
He not only serves on the Board of Directors for OE, he also volunteers for the Harpeth River Watershed Association, Habitat for Humanity, and other local service organizations.
Cooper enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Emily, and their two children. All four of them are active cyclists who are greatly involved in NICA and their local youth mountain bike team.
Ben Wynd, CPA: Board Member/ Project Lead
Ben is a Partner at Smiley, Smith & Wynd CPA's. He just retired from serving as Board of Director for Franklin Financial Network, Inc. (NYSE: FSB) and as Board Member for the Williamson County Sports Authority.
Ben is a husband and father of two children who mountain bike for Franklin High MTB Team. He is an Eagle Scout and a life-long outdoor enthusiast. His activity of choice is mountain biking and backpacking with his family.
Chris Alderman: Board Member/Event Production
Chris is the President of deluge|music, management division in Nashville, TN representing musical acts Smithfield, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, and Jason Scheff.
He has always been an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys coaching the Grassland Middle School Mountain Bike Team as well as and spending time with family.
Chris is passionate about helping out in the community and getting people outside
to enjoy nature through physical activity.
Belinda Leslie: Board Member/Social Media
Belinda Leslie has many interests and tons of energy. She owns and operates Belinda Leslie A Registered Investment Adviser, Inc. in Franklin, Tennessee just 1/4 mile from the future Wilkins Branch Mt. Bike Park.
She has competed in well over 100 Triathlon races since 1984. She is currently an Ambassador for Team Magic Racing. She also sings Mezzo Soprano in the Nashville Opera Association having sung in 32 full scale operas at Tennessee Performing Arts Center since 2000.
For fun she conducts small weddings on her property on Wilkins Branch Road Top of Woodland Weddings.
She rarely sits still.
Millie Halvorson: Board Member/Grant Writer
Millie is a full time Physical Therapist for the Williamson County School district.
Millie has a passion for children with special needs. She works to find opportunities for these children to access the outdoors through events, fundraisers and advocacy.
Millie is a wife and mother of two children andenjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family and friends. She has competed in sprint triathlons as well as long distance cycling events. Her dedication to health and wellness is tireless and plays out in every aspect of her life.
Jeremy Smith, CFS: Board Member
Jeremy is a Financial Advisor at Shoemaker Financial with his Series 7, 63, 65 Securities Registration, Life/ Health License, Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), 8 time Qualifier, Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), and Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Securian Financial Services.
Jeremy is a husband and father of two children. He has a passion for those in need and seeks opportunities to give back to his community.
Jeremy is a Supporter of Blood:Water Mission, enjoys coaching and playing soccer, and is a Crossfit Enthusiast and coach.
Heath Clark: Board Member/Legal Assistance
Heath started Clark Business and Health Law and provides corporate healthcare, acquisitions, hospital operations, and healthcare regulatory support, as well as regulatory and contracting services for utilization management, provider networks, and managed care. Heath has helped his clients achieve their objectives through compliance matters, including Stark, Anti-kickback, HIPAA, as well as through growth strategies including acquisitions and management arrangements. Heath also provides corporate, operations and regulatory services to physicians and physician practices, home health, hospice, assisted living, and nursing homes.
Heath grew up on a small farm near Winchester, Tennessee, and earned a B.A. in History and J.D. from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
Austin Lowry: Board Member / Technology
Austin spends his professional time providing consulting services for enterprise customers who are building or expanding their business through e-commerce, self-service, CPQ and marketplace technologies.
At home, he spends his time trying to burn off calories from project cooking by running, biking and keeping up with his family.
