Alexander Trail

Located on the grounds of Thompson's Station Park and Heritage Park, this natural surface trail meanders approximately 3 miles through beautiful wooded and hilly landscape.

Bikers, hikers, trail runners and walkers have the opportunity to travel back and forth from the Heritage schools, over the hill to Thompson's Station Park. Trail heads are located on both sides.

South Trail Head - Located behind the ballfields at Heritage Park
North Trail Head - Located behind last pavillion at Thompson's Station Park

What to expect       MAP

Moderate for hiking. The terrian is steep in some sections, especially when nearing the top of the hill.
Moderate + for biking - The terrain is not technical for bikers, however, the grade of the trails in many sections make biking difficult.

Dogs are welcome! Please note: Some users of the trail are not fond of dogs and have been known to contact animal control if a dog is off leash. Protect yourself and your dog by keeping them on a leash. Thank you.

Behind the scenes

The Alexander Trail is managed and maintained by Volunteers only. Tree trimming, weed wacking, stump removal, trash pick up, dirt leveling..... all done by volunteers. Be sure to thank them if you see them working on the trail.

THANK YOU Jim VanVleet and Alan Corey and others who we have not met, for your countless hours of work and dedication.
